Shahzaib Khan’s Unbeaten Century Secures Pakistan’s 10-Wicket Win Over UAE in U19 Tri-Series Opener
Pakistan’s U19 cricket team opened their tri-series campaign in style, securing a commanding 10-wicket victory over the UAE, thanks to a remarkable unbeaten century from Shahzaib Khan. The match, held at the ICC Academy in Dubai, saw Pakistan chase down a target of 192 runs with ease, reaching the total in the 43rd over without losing a wicket.
Shahzaib Khan led the way with an impressive 109 not out off 133 balls, decorated with 10 fours and two sixes. Partnering with him, Usman Khan remained undefeated on 77 from 122 balls, striking three boundaries in a composed innings that complemented Shahzaib’s aggressive approach. Together, the duo forged an unbroken 193-run opening stand, dominating the UAE bowlers and securing a comprehensive win for Pakistan.

Earlier, the UAE, after being put into bat, struggled against Pakistan’s disciplined bowling attack and were bowled out for 191 in the final over. Uddish Suri top-scored for the hosts with 40 runs off 63 balls, hitting two boundaries. Pakistan’s bowlers put on a solid display, with Abdul Subhan leading the attack, claiming two wickets for 42 runs in his 10-over spell. Ali Raza, Hassan Khan, and Usman Khan chipped in with a wicket apiece, while Pakistan’s sharp fielding resulted in five run-outs.
For his outstanding century, Shahzaib Khan was named Player of the Match. Pakistan will next face Afghanistan in the second match of the tri-series, scheduled for Friday, November 15, with the first ball set to be bowled at 10:30 am PKT.
