Babar Azam Sets New Record for Most T20I Appearances for Pakistan
Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam has added another milestone to his career, becoming the player with the most T20I appearances for Pakistan. He achieved this record by playing his 124th T20I match in the series opener against Australia in Brisbane, surpassing veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik, who represented Pakistan in 123 T20Is.
Despite Babar’s achievement, Pakistan suffered a tough defeat against Australia in the first T20I, where Babar managed only 3 runs before being dismissed by Nathan Ellis. Pakistan will now aim to recover and put on a stronger performance in the second T20I, scheduled to take place at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
