USD to PKR: Rupee strengthens further as dollar slips to Rs 278.27 in interbank market

The Pakistani rupee extended its modest gains against the US dollar on Wednesday, as the local currency continued to strengthen in the interbank market amid stable foreign exchange conditions.
According to market data, the US dollar declined by 3 paise during the day’s trading session and settled at Rs.278.27 in the interbank market.

The greenback had closed at Rs.278.30 in the previous session, indicating a continued gradual downward trend against the rupee.
Currency dealers said the movement remained limited but reflected steady market sentiment, with no major fluctuations recorded during trading.
Analysts noted that the marginal appreciation of the rupee points to relative stability in the foreign exchange market, although broader trends will continue to depend on factors such as remittance inflows, import payments and overall external account performance.
