Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Calls for Nationwide Namaz-e-Istisqa (pray for rain) Amidst Drought Concerns

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appealed to the nation to observe Namaz-e-Istisqa, a special prayer for rain, seeking Allah’s mercy to alleviate the ongoing drought conditions. In a statement issued by the PM Office on Thursday, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of rainfall in improving environmental conditions and reducing the spread of diseases.

The Prime Minister urged both federal and provincial governments to facilitate Namaz-e-Istisqa gatherings in mosques across the country. He also called upon religious scholars and leaders to play an active role in organizing these prayers, encouraging community participation in asking for “Baran-e-Rehmat” (rain of mercy).

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, Prime Minister Shehbaz stressed that special prayers are needed to ease the hardships faced by many citizens, expressing hope that rainfall will bring relief and improve living conditions nationwide.
