Dubai All Set to Host Inaugural World Sports Summit in December

Dubai is set to host the inaugural World Sports Summit from December 29 to 30, positioning itself as a global hub for dialogue and innovation in the sports industry. The event, to be held at Madinat Jumeirah, has been initiated under the direction of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence.
Organised by the Dubai Sports Council, the summit is expected to attract top officials, international sports stars, decision-makers, coaches, and industry experts from around the world. It aims to be the largest global gathering focused on shaping the future of the sports sector across both team and individual disciplines.

In a statement, Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the summit’s broader vision: “This summit will bring together top officials, coaches, specialists, and current and former sports stars to shape the future of the sports sector globally. We aim to harness new opportunities, tackle challenges, and ensure sport continues to unite people, inspire generations, support economies, and foster talent.”
He also highlighted the role of sports academies and educational institutions in developing future athletic talent and stressed the importance of enhancing national teams and clubs’ performance levels through strategic planning and collaboration.
The summit’s agenda will feature panel discussions, keynote addresses, workshops, and closed-door meetings. Discussions will cover a wide range of topics including economic sustainability of sporting events, regulatory frameworks, audience engagement strategies, and the impact of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and data analytics on the future of sports.
