IHC Orders Arrangements for Imran Khan’s Meetings with PTI Leadership
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued a directive on Tuesday to ensure the proper arrangements for meetings between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and the party leadership at Adiala Jail.
The order, issued by Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan, specifies that a meeting between Imran Khan and PTI’s leadership should take place on Tuesday, based on the list of visitors he provided. In a shift from the usual schedule, family meetings with the former prime minister will be held on Thursday this week instead of the usual Tuesday. Moving forward, Imran Khan is required to submit the names of individuals requesting to meet him.

The written order further clarifies that the superintendent of Adiala Jail will be responsible for receiving the list from Imran Khan and sharing it via WhatsApp with both the Advocate General and PTI’s Secretary General to ensure smooth coordination.
The development comes after a controversial incident earlier this week, when senior PTI leaders and members of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) were detained by authorities upon their arrival at Adiala Jail to meet with Imran Khan. Among those detained were prominent PTI figures, including Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser, Shibli Faraz, and SIC Chairman Sahibzada Hamid Raza. They were released shortly after being taken into custody.
Aliya Hamza Malik, another member of the delegation, was not detained as she was standing at a distance from the others during the incident.
