ATC Issues Non-Bailable Arrest Warrants for Aleema Khan in Protest Case

A Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court on Tuesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Aleema Khan in connection with a case related to the November 26 protest, directing police to arrest her and produce her before the court on Wednesday.

The warrants were issued after the court rejected Aleema Khan’s request for exemption from personal appearance. The case was taken up by the Anti-Terrorism Court Rawalpindi, which adjourned the proceedings until Wednesday following the issuance of a written order.

In compliance with the court’s directive, a special police team was dispatched to carry out the arrest. The team was led by DSP Syed Azhar Shah, who supervised the operation to ensure implementation of the non-bailable warrants in line with court instructions.

Legal observers say the case has entered a decisive stage, with the court adopting a firm approach after repeated non-appearances by the accused, signalling that further delays will not be entertained.
