According to the official Erasmus Mundus scholarship results for 2026, a total of 98 Pakistani students were selected for the prestigious programme, making Pakistan the largest contributor of successful candidates worldwide.

The achievement places Pakistan ahead of several major countries. Bangladesh secured second place with 80 scholarship recipients, followed by India with 75, the United States with 68 and Italy with 67 successful candidates.
The Erasmus Mundus programme, funded by the European Union under Erasmus+, is regarded as one of the world’s most competitive international scholarship schemes.
