Pensioners Can Now Submit Proof of Life Through Pak ID App

The federal government has introduced a digital facility allowing pensioners in Pakistan to submit their Proof of Life certificate through the National Database and Registration Authority’s (NADRA) Pak ID mobile application.

According to information shared by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, pensioners can use the Pak ID app to complete the required verification process without having to visit a bank for this purpose.

Under the facility, pensioners can verify their identity through biometric verification and submit their Proof of Life digitally. The initiative is intended to make the verification process more convenient, particularly for elderly pensioners who may face difficulties visiting banks in person.

The government said pensioners can complete the process from home using the Pak ID application. The official information campaign also provides QR codes for downloading the application and accessing related digital services.

Proof of Life verification is an important requirement for pensioners as it confirms their eligibility to continue receiving pension payments. Moving the process to a digital platform is expected to reduce physical visits and simplify compliance with the verification requirement.

The initiative is being promoted under the government’s broader efforts to expand digital public services and provide citizens with easier access to administrative facilities through mobile technology.
