• Abbottabad Region defeated Karachi Region Whites by nine wickets in the National T20 Cup final.
• Karachi Region Whites were bowled out for 118 in 18.3 overs at Gaddafi Stadium.
• Abbottabad chased the target in just 13.5 overs to lift the trophy.

Abbottabad Region, captained by Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan, produced a commanding all-round performance to win the National T20 Cup title after defeating Karachi Region Whites by nine wickets in the final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.

After winning the toss and opting to field first, Abbottabad’s bowlers kept Karachi Region Whites under pressure throughout the innings, restricting them to 118 all out in 18.3 overs. Regular wickets prevented Karachi from building momentum, and none of their batters managed to play a substantial innings.

Captain Saud Shakeel was among the main contributors with 17 runs, while Saqib Khan scored 22. Shan Masood added 16 runs and Haroon Arshad chipped in with 13, but the batting lineup struggled to establish meaningful partnerships against a disciplined Abbottabad bowling attack.

Fast bowler Arshad Iqbal led the charge with the ball, claiming three wickets for 28 runs. Shahab Khan supported him effectively with figures of 2 for 18, while Razaullah and skipper Shadab Khan picked up two wickets each to dismantle Karachi’s batting order.

Chasing a modest target of 119, Abbottabad made light work of the task and reached 120 for one in just 13.5 overs, sealing the title with 37 balls remaining.

Although Abbottabad lost opener Afaq Khan for 13, the setback had little impact on the chase. Shahzaib Khan and Kamran Ghulam took control of the innings and guided their side to victory with an unbeaten second-wicket partnership.

Shahzaib Khan starred with the bat, remaining unbeaten on 54 from 41 deliveries. His innings included three boundaries and four sixes as he anchored the chase with confidence and composure.

Kamran Ghulam provided aggressive support at the other end, scoring an unbeaten 45 from just 26 balls. His knock featured three fours and three sixes and ensured that Abbottabad maintained a brisk scoring rate throughout the innings.

The emphatic victory capped an impressive campaign for Abbottabad Region, with captain Shadab Khan playing a key leadership role throughout the tournament. The team’s strong bowling display in the final, followed by a clinical batting performance, left little room for Karachi Region Whites to stage a comeback.
