ANF Seizes Over 231kg Hashish Worth Rs7.3 Million, Arrests Two Suspects
The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has seized more than 231 kilograms of hashish worth over Rs7.3 million and arrested two suspects in separate operations conducted in different parts of the country as part of its ongoing campaign against drug trafficking.
According to an ANF spokesperson, the operations were carried out to curb the transportation and distribution of narcotics and to dismantle networks involved in illegal drug trade activities.

In the first operation, ANF officials intercepted a vehicle near Ghaza Band Road in Quetta district and recovered 230 kilograms of hashish. The suspect present in the vehicle was arrested on the spot, while the seized narcotics were taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
In another operation conducted near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza in Attock, ANF personnel recovered 1.2 kilograms of hashish from a passenger during a search. The individual was subsequently arrested and shifted into custody for investigation.
The combined value of the recovered narcotics has been estimated at more than Rs7.3 million, according to authorities.
The spokesperson said that separate cases have been registered against both accused under the Control of Narcotic Substances Act (CNSA) 1997. Investigators are now examining possible links to larger drug trafficking networks and are pursuing further leads generated from the arrests.
The ANF has intensified anti-narcotics operations across the country in recent months, targeting drug smugglers, traffickers and supply chains involved in the movement of illegal substances. Officials say such operations are part of broader efforts to prevent the spread of narcotics and strengthen law enforcement measures against organized drug-related crimes.
Authorities have reiterated their commitment to continuing intelligence-based operations aimed at eliminating narcotics trafficking and protecting communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs.
