Full-Time (AET)✅ England 2-1 Norway – England qualified for the FIFA World Cup semi-finals.

England booked their place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-finals after coming from behind to defeat Norway 2-1 after extra time in a dramatic quarter-final played in Miami.

Norway stunned England in the 36th minute when Andreas Schjelderup gave his side the lead following a defensive mistake. England controlled much of the possession but found it difficult to break through Norway’s defence until Jude Bellingham equalised deep into first-half stoppage time with a calm finish.

The second half featured several key moments, including a disallowed Norwegian goal after a VAR review ruled there had been a foul in the build-up. Bellingham’s equaliser was also briefly reviewed over claims the ball may have touched an overhead camera cable, but the goal was allowed to stand.

With the score level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. Just three minutes into the additional period, Bellingham capitalised on a goalkeeping error by Ørjan Nyland to score his second goal of the night and complete England’s comeback. Norway pressed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but England’s defence held firm.

England manager Thomas Tuchel praised his team’s determination after another hard-fought knockout victory, while Bellingham credited the squad’s resilience in overcoming another difficult test.

The win sends England into the FIFA World Cup semi-finals, where they will face the winner of the Argentina vs Switzerland quarter-final.
