Lahore: Solar panel prices in Lahore have dropped significantly, with different wattage panels becoming cheaper by between Rs4,000 and Rs9,000, according to market sources.
Traders say the recent reduction in petroleum product prices is expected to bring additional relief to consumers, with solar panel prices likely to decline further in the coming days.

Market sources explained that high petroleum prices had increased transportation and supply chain costs, contributing to higher prices of solar batteries. With fuel prices now easing, battery prices are also expected to come down.
According to the sources, the price of a single battery had previously increased by between Rs27,000 and Rs38,000. If the current trend continues, consumers could see a noticeable reduction in the overall cost of installing solar energy systems.
