Gold Prices Surge in Pakistan and International Markets

Gold prices recorded a sharp increase in both local and global markets on Wednesday, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.

In the domestic market, the price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs3,700, reaching Rs364,900. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs3,171 to Rs312,842. For 22-karat gold, the price of 10 grams went up by Rs2,917, standing at Rs286,782.

International markets also witnessed a surge in gold rates, with prices climbing by $37 to reach $3,424 per ounce.

Silver rates followed the upward trend. The price of 24-karat silver per tola in Pakistan rose by Rs46 to Rs4,081, while international silver prices increased by $0.46, bringing the rate to $39.34 per ounce.

Jewellers attribute this rise to global economic uncertainties and fluctuations in currency exchange rates, which continue to influence both local and international bullion markets.
