Veteran PML-N leader Siddiqul Farooq passes away

Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Muhammad Siddiqul Farooq passed away on Sunday after a prolonged illness. According to family sources, the veteran politician had been battling heart disease. His funeral prayers will be held at H-11 cemetery in Islamabad at 11 a.m. on Monday.
Siddiqul Farooq was a respected figure within PML-N and served the party in various key roles throughout his career. He was the party’s Secretary Information and also served as Principal Secretary to three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. In addition, he held the positions of Chairman of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and Chairman of the House Building Finance Corporation.

Farooq was widely recognized for his dedication to the PML-N and his steadfast loyalty during challenging times. He was known for his firm ideas and courage, even refusing to testify against Nawaz Sharif under pressure.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Siddiqul Farooq, describing him as a sincere and devoted member of PML-N whose contributions to the party would always be remembered. Extending his condolences to the bereaved family, the premier highlighted the irreplaceable loss to both the party and the nation.

PM expresses grief over death of Siddique-ul-Farooq
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Siddique-ul-Farooq, a senior PML-N leader and former Chairman of the House Building Finance Corporation and Evacuee Trust Property Board. In his condolence message, the Prime Minister praised Siddique-ul-Farooq’s loyalty and contributions to the party, describing him as a dedicated and wise politician.
The Prime Minister prayed for the departed soul, saying, “May Allah Almighty grant Siddique-ul-Farooq a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous. Ameen.”
