Three Pakistani Companies Make Forbes Asia’s Best Under a Billion List

Three Pakistani companies have secured a place in Forbes’ latest recognition of successful Asia-Pacific businesses, highlighting the growing regional presence of Pakistani firms across the beverage, automotive and technology sectors.
According to the report, Murree Brewery, Sazgar Engineering Works and Systems Limited were among the companies recognised in Forbes’ 25th edition. All three businesses have revenue below the $1 billion mark but have continued to strengthen their commercial position.

Murree Brewery, established in 1860 during the British colonial era, is one of the oldest companies operating in Asia. The company has reported annual revenue of approximately $102 million.
Sazgar Engineering Works, founded in 1991, operates in the automotive manufacturing industry. The company has expanded its presence in Pakistan’s automobile sector and has a reported business volume of approximately $389 million.
Systems Limited represents Pakistan’s technology sector on the list. The software company operates in Pakistan as well as international markets, including North America, the Middle East and Europe. Its annual revenue stands at approximately $286 million.
The inclusion of companies from three different industries reflects the presence of Pakistani businesses across both traditional and rapidly developing sectors, ranging from manufacturing and beverages to software and technology services.
According to Forbes, the selection process took several financial and performance indicators into account. Companies were assessed on factors including revenue generated from sales and their performance over one-year and three-year periods.
The evaluation also examined equity levels over a five-year period before companies were selected for recognition in the latest edition.
