Pakistan’s security forces have killed six terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in Panjgur district of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation was conducted after receiving intelligence regarding the presence of terrorists associated with Fitna al Hindustan, a group described by Pakistan as an Indian-backed proxy organization.

The ISPR said security forces effectively engaged multiple terrorist hideouts during the operation. Following intense exchanges of fire, six militants were killed.
A cache of weapons, ammunition, improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and a vehicle was also recovered from the slain militants. According to the military, the terrorists had been actively involved in various terrorist activities in the area.
The military said sanitization operations are continuing in the region to ensure that any remaining militants are located and eliminated.
Reaffirming its commitment to counterterrorism efforts, the ISPR stated that Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue their operations under the national counterterrorism strategy “Azm-e-Istehkam” to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
Mohsin Naqvi praises security forces for successful counterterrorism operation in Panjgur
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised the security forces for conducting a successful operation against militants identified by the government as Fitna al-Hindustan in the Panjgur area of Balochistan. In a statement issued on Friday, he commended the bravery and professionalism of the security personnel for eliminating six militants during the intelligence-based operation.
Naqvi said the timely action by security forces foiled the plans of what he described as Indian-sponsored terrorists and highlighted the importance of ongoing counterterrorism operations in Balochistan. Reaffirming support for the armed forces, he said the entire nation stands united with security institutions in the fight against terrorism and remains committed to ensuring peace and stability across the country.
President, PM commend security forces for successful operation against terrorists in Panjgur
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday also praised the security forces for successfully conducting an operation in Panjgur that resulted in the killing of six militants linked to Fitna-al-Hindustan. In separate statements, both leaders commended the forces for their efforts and said that counterterrorism operations under Operation Azm-e-Istehkam would continue until their objectives were fully achieved.
President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to eliminating terrorism, saying that Fitna-al-Hindustan and its facilitators would not be allowed to disrupt the country’s peace and stability. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the militants were planning attacks against innocent Pakistani citizens and lauded the security forces for thwarting their intentions. He also reiterated the government’s resolve to eradicate terrorism and ensure lasting peace and security across the country.
