New Security Measures Implemented at Karachi Airport in Response to Recent Terrorist Attack
Following a recent terrorist attack near Jinnah International Airport, the Pakistan Airports Authority’s Vigilance Department has introduced new security measures to enhance the safety of passengers and visitors at Karachi’s main airport. These guidelines aim to tighten entry protocols, ensuring that access to the airport remains strictly controlled.
Under the new regulations, all passengers must present a copy of their travel ticket to enter the airport, allowing security agencies to verify their identity upon arrival. The policy further specifies that each passenger may be accompanied by no more than four individuals, aiming to limit crowding within the airport premises.

Additionally, individuals picking up or dropping off passengers are now required to carry a valid ID card to gain entry. Those without proper ticket copies or identity verification will be denied access, reinforcing controlled entry and heightened vigilance around the facility.
The Pakistan Airports Authority has stressed that these measures are essential to maintaining a secure environment for travelers amid heightened security concerns. The new rules are expected to come into effect shortly, marking a proactive response to recent threats and ensuring a safer experience for all airport visitors.
