KP CM Gandapur Announces Complete Preparations for Islamabad Protest with Peaceful Demonstration
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur confirmed that preparations for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest rally in Islamabad on November 24 are finalized, though he refrained from disclosing specific strategies. Speaking to the media in Peshawar, Gandapur emphasized PTI’s commitment to peaceful protest, calling it the party’s constitutional right. “Our strategy will be great. Holding a peaceful protest is our right, but every time our way is blocked,” he stated, criticizing the federal government for alleged harassment of PTI supporters, including the reported use of rubber bullets.
Gandapur also highlighted the training PTI has provided its supporters to overcome potential obstacles, including trench digging that the government may employ to block their march.

Meanwhile, PTI founder Imran Khan, who has issued a “final call” for the Islamabad protest, formed a committee to oversee the event’s coordination. According to Imran’s lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, the committee members’ identities remain undisclosed to prevent preemptive arrests. As per PTI’s instructions, the primary protest will occur in Islamabad but will also be supported by rallies across Pakistan and internationally, and it will continue until PTI’s demands are met.
Imran Khan has outlined key demands, including the withdrawal of the 26th Constitutional Amendment, the return of PTI’s mandate, and the release of party workers detained without trial. Gandapur, who was in Peshawar High Court earlier, was granted an extension of protective bail until December 17 in all ongoing cases.
