Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi to discuss the deteriorating situation in Palestine, with both leaders expressing serious concern over ongoing developments in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the two foreign ministers strongly condemned Israeli military operations in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. They also denounced repeated incursions by Israeli settlers into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, along with restrictions imposed on Palestinian worshippers.

Dar and Safadi said such actions violate the sanctity of one of Islam’s holiest sites, further escalate regional tensions, and undermine efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace.
During the conversation, the two leaders also discussed Jordan’s proposal to convene an emergency meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to address the worsening humanitarian and security situation in the Palestinian territories.
Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role and continued diplomatic engagement in support of regional peace and stability.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s longstanding position on the Palestinian issue, Ishaq Dar reiterated Islamabad’s unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and stressed the need for a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.
He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign State of Palestine on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.
