The federal government has announced another increase in petroleum prices, raising the rates of both petrol and high-speed diesel under the latest fortnightly fuel price review.
According to an official notification issued by the Petroleum Division, the price of petrol has been increased by Rs3.66 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs335.18 per litre.

The price of high-speed diesel (HSD) has also been raised by Rs4.80 per litre. Following the increase, HSD will now be available at Rs383.46 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the revised prices were determined on the recommendation of the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and will come into effect from midnight.
The latest hike is expected to increase transportation costs and place further pressure on the prices of food and other essential commodities, adding to inflationary concerns for consumers.
High-speed diesel is widely used in the transport, agriculture and industrial sectors, while petrol remains the primary fuel for private vehicles and motorcycles across the country.
