Gold Prices Down Slightly in Pakistan, Silver Becomes Costlier

Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a slight decline on Monday, following similar trends in the international market. According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs300, bringing it down to Rs358,165. Meanwhile, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also dipped by Rs257 to settle at Rs307,068.
In the global market, gold showed a modest decrease as well, with the price per ounce dropping by $3 to reach $3,366. The minor corrections come after a one-day gain, reflecting typical market fluctuations influenced by global demand, currency rates, and investor sentiment.

While gold saw a marginal dip, silver prices moved in the opposite direction. The price of a tola of 24-karat silver increased by Rs14, reaching Rs3,799. Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of silver climbed to Rs3,257. The upward adjustment in silver prices contrasts with the slight downward trend in gold, suggesting varying investment patterns across the precious metals market.
