Veteran Pakistani actor Nauman Ijaz has responded to criticism surrounding earnings from the entertainment industry after a social media user questioned whether income generated through showbiz should be considered halal or haram.

Known for speaking openly on social and cultural issues, Nauman Ijaz addressed the topic during a recent YouTube discussion. Referring to a message shared by a friend about the concepts of halal and haram, the actor said that human beings are naturally equipped with the ability to recognize many things in life.
He explained that people can identify heat through touch, bitterness through taste, and unpleasant odors through smell. However, when it comes to distinguishing between halal and haram, he said the matter ultimately depends on an individual’s conscience, awareness, and personal choices.
Nauman Ijaz emphasized that most people already understand the difference between right and wrong. According to him, the real challenge is not a lack of recognition but the decisions people make despite knowing the consequences of their actions.
