Mishi Khan Questions Why Some Eid Films Disappear From Cinemas So Quickly

Pakistani actress and television host Mishi Khan has expressed disappointment over the performance of local Eid film releases, questioning why some movies are removed from cinemas just days after their release.
In a video shared on Instagram, Mishi Khan spoke about her plans to watch several Eid releases but was surprised to learn that some films were no longer being screened.

“I had planned to complete a hat-trick. Yesterday I watched Zombeid, today I wanted to watch Psycho, and tomorrow I planned to watch Luv Di Saun. But only Zombeid is still playing,” she said.
The actress argued that audiences expect a complete cinematic experience when they visit theatres, including strong storytelling, entertainment, music, romance and visually appealing scenes.
Mishi Khan praised Zombeid for continuing its theatrical run but said many films fail to attract audiences because they lack compelling stories and entertainment value.
She also highlighted the cost of a cinema outing, noting that moviegoers spend a considerable amount on tickets and refreshments and therefore expect quality entertainment in return.
According to Mishi, audiences are unlikely to pay for films that offer the same type of content they can already watch on television or digital platforms.
