A sessions court in Lahore on Tuesday reserved its verdict on the interim bail applications of TikTokers Iqra Kanwal and Areeb in a case involving the alleged promotion of an online gambling application.

Additional Sessions Judge Nusrat Ali Siddiqui heard the petitions, during which both accused appeared before the court and marked their attendance.

Counsel for the petitioners, Advocate Muhammad Saleem, argued that his clients were entitled to interim relief and requested the court to grant bail until further proceedings.

After hearing arguments from both the defence and the prosecution, the court reserved its decision on the interim bail pleas.

The case was registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), which alleges that the social media personalities promoted an online gambling application. The court is expected to announce its decision after reviewing the submissions from both sides.
