2026 T20 World Cup T20 Tournament – Details

The 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to be the tenth edition of the premier international Twenty20 cricket tournament, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC). This edition is set to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February to March 2026, marking a significant event in the cricketing calendar. The tournament will feature 20 teams, competing in a format that includes a group stage, Super 8s, and knockout rounds, culminating in the final where the world champion will be crowned.
The qualification process for the 2026 T20 World Cup involves a series of regional tournaments, with teams vying for a place in the main event. The top eight teams from the previous edition, along with the hosts and additional teams based on ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings, will qualify automatically. T20 World Cup Tournament Format
The ICC T20 World Cup format consists of two stages:
