The FIFA World Cup 2026 champions will earn USD 50 million, equal to approximately PKR 14 billion. The runners-up will receive USD 33 million, while the team finishing third will earn USD 29 million.
The fourth-placed team will receive USD 27 million. Each quarter-finalist will earn USD 19 million, while teams eliminated in the Round of 16 will receive USD 15 million each.
Teams knocked out in the Round of 32 will receive USD 11 million, while countries finishing between 33rd and 48th place will earn USD 9 million.
In addition to performance-based prize money, every participating national football association will receive a USD 1.5 million preparation grant to cover tournament-related expenses.
This means even a team eliminated at the earliest stage will receive at least USD 10.5 million, including its prize money and preparation grant.
The 2026 World Cup will feature 48 teams and offers the biggest overall financial rewards in the competition’s history, with hundreds of millions of dollars being distributed among participating nations.
