Khawaja Asif Arrives in Morocco on Three-Day Official Visit to Boost Defence Ties

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has arrived in Morocco on a three-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral defence relations between the two countries.

Upon his arrival at Casablanca Airport on Monday, the Defence Minister was warmly received by Major General Ahmed Hatuto, Commander of the Casablanca Army, along with senior Moroccan government officials. Pakistan’s Ambassador to Morocco, Syed Adil Gilani, was also present at the airport to welcome the visiting minister.

During the visit, Pakistan and Morocco are expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding to promote defence cooperation. The agreement is seen as an important step toward deepening collaboration in defence-related fields and further consolidating ties between the two nations.

As part of the official engagements, Khawaja Asif will hold talks with Morocco’s Minister of State for National Defence Administration, Abdul Latif Lodie. He will also lead delegation-level meetings focused on expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, reflecting both countries’ commitment to enhancing strategic and defence partnerships.
