IESCO begins relief measures under PM’s winter package

The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has started implementing the winter facilitation package announced by Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, providing significant relief to electricity consumers in their December 2024 bills.
Muhammad Naeem Jan, Chief Executive of IESCO, confirmed the initiative, highlighting its aim to ease financial burdens on residential, commercial, and industrial electricity users.

Under the package, residential consumers will benefit from reductions of Rs11.42 to Rs26 per unit on additional electricity consumption. Commercial and business consumers will see relief ranging from Rs13.46 to Rs22.71 per unit, while industrial users will enjoy reductions of Rs5.72 to Rs15.05 per unit.
Naeem Jan urged IESCO customers, especially those in the industrial sector, to maximize the benefits of this package. He emphasized that the reduced electricity costs would help businesses lower production expenses, increase output, and contribute to strengthening Pakistan’s economy.
