Hajj 2026 Registration Deadline Extended to July 11 as Applications Cross 313,000

The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced an extension in the registration deadline for Hajj 2026, allowing aspiring pilgrims two additional days to complete the mandatory process. Initially set to close on Wednesday, the new deadline is now Friday, July 11, 2025.

According to Ministry Spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, the extension was granted in response to a surge in registration requests and to facilitate a smooth experience for all prospective pilgrims. He confirmed that more than 313,000 applications have already been received so far, reflecting an overwhelming response to the initial call.

Registration can be completed through 15 designated banks across Pakistan or via the ministry’s official online portal. The spokesperson reiterated that no fee is required at the time of registration, and the entire process is being offered free of charge to make it accessible to all.

The Ministry earlier clarified that individuals who fail to register within the deadline will not be eligible for next year’s pilgrimage. Only those who register in time will be given the option to choose between the government and private Hajj schemes, once further details are announced.

Officials also noted that the cost of the pilgrimage, package options, and other terms and conditions will be disclosed separately under the Hajj Policy 2026. These details will be shared once final guidance is received from the Saudi government.

The registration process is being conducted in line with Saudi Arabia’s requirements for organizing the annual pilgrimage. After the registration closes, Pakistan will submit its final data of intending pilgrims to the Saudi authorities for quota allocation.

With more than 313,000 people already signed up and only a short window remaining, authorities continue to encourage maximum participation before the extended deadline expires.
