The development came after Salman Akram Raja met Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi on Thursday to discuss matters related to the pending petitions.
Speaking to the media following the meeting, Raja said that the applications concerning meetings with the PTI founder and his transfer to a medical facility had not yet been scheduled before the apex court.
However, he stated that he was given an assurance during the meeting that the petitions would likely be fixed for hearing after the Eid holidays.
The petitions relate to requests seeking regular access for meetings with the PTI founder as well as his transfer to a hospital for medical treatment. The party has repeatedly raised concerns regarding both issues and has sought judicial intervention.
According to Raja, the matters remain pending before the Supreme Court and no formal hearing date has been announced so far.
The PTI leadership has continued to pursue legal avenues regarding the party founder’s prison conditions and medical care, while awaiting further proceedings in the country’s highest court.
For now, the petitions remain unlisted, with party officials expecting movement in the cases after Eid following the assurance conveyed during the meeting with the Chief Justice.
