Bollywood: 22-year-old Indian actress’s mysterious death raises questions
The mysterious death of 22-year-old Indian television actress Sanchita Ogle has taken a new turn after her brother, Akash Ogle, made a series of claims that have intensified public discussion surrounding the case.
Speaking to the media for the first time, Akash said his sister’s death should not be dismissed as an ordinary case of suicide and called for a thorough and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to him, Sanchita had frequently mentioned late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the days leading up to her death. He also pointed to her recent social media activity, which he believes may hold significance.
Akash noted that Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14, 2020, while Sanchita’s death also came to light on June 14, six years later. He said he does not consider the similarity in dates to be a mere coincidence and believes there may be more facts yet to emerge.
He further revealed that Sanchita’s final Instagram post was linked to the anniversary of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. According to Akash, the actress shared a reel featuring the message, “June 14 has come again,” which he believes carried a deeper meaning.
Questioning the pressures within the entertainment industry, Akash described his sister as mentally strong and said he finds it difficult to believe that she would have taken such a step without facing serious challenges or emotional distress.
He urged the government and investigating authorities to conduct a high-level inquiry to determine the circumstances that may have affected Sanchita and whether any external factors contributed to her distress.
Police officials, however, said the investigation remains ongoing and that all aspects of the case are being examined carefully. Authorities stressed that it would be premature to draw any conclusions before the inquiry is completed.
According to police, Sanchita lived in Mumbai with her family and was alone at home at the time of the incident. Family members reportedly found her dead in her room upon returning home and immediately informed the authorities.
Sanchita Ogle gained recognition for her role as Diya Tandon in the television drama Kumkum Bhagya. She later earned further popularity for portraying Ruchita Jaitley in Wagle Ki Duniya and went on to play a lead role in Dil Wali Dulha Le Jayegi.
