Pakistan’s men’s volleyball team pulled off a stunning upset on Monday by defeating world No. 23 Qatar in straight sets to secure a place in the final of the AVC Nations Cup 2025, held in Bahrain. The 3-0 victory, with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, and 25-21, marked Pakistan’s most dominant performance of the tournament and served as sweet revenge for their defeat to Qatar in last year’s AVC Challenge Cup final.
The Pakistani side showcased exceptional teamwork and execution, outscoring Qatar 75-65 overall. They recorded 47 attack points compared to Qatar’s 41, delivered 7 blocks to Qatar’s 5, and while Qatar had a slight edge in service points (2-1), Pakistan’s disciplined play forced 20 unforced errors from their opponents, which proved decisive.
