Renowned Pakistani singer and musician Tariq Tafu has passed away at the age of 58, leaving the country’s music industry and fans in mourning. According to reports, his health suddenly deteriorated and he was rushed to hospital, where doctors were unable to save his life.
Tariq Tafu rose to nationwide fame through his iconic song “Lahore Lahore Aye,” which became synonymous with his name and earned him a special place in Pakistan’s music scene.

He was the son of legendary musician Tafu Khan and followed in his father’s footsteps by dedicating his life to music. Throughout his career, Tariq Tafu remained actively involved in the industry and contributed significantly to promoting Pakistani music.

Tariq Tafu’s funeral prayers will be offered at 3:30pm on Wednesday at Emperor’s Cemetery, Karim Block, Lahore, where family members, friends, members of the entertainment industry, and admirers are expected to gather to pay their final respects.
