US dollar strengthens against Pakistani rupee in interbank market

The US dollar gained 10 paisas against the Pakistani rupee in the interbank market, with the exchange rate now standing at Rs278.15, according to currency dealers.

Over the past six months, the dollar-to-rupee exchange rate has remained relatively stable, with minor fluctuations. The average rate during this period was Rs278.44, with the highest rate of Rs279.40 recorded in late June 2024 and the lowest at Rs277.43 in late September 2024.

The exchange rate has been shaped by economic and geopolitical factors, reflecting a generally stable trend despite occasional market dynamics. The slight uptick in the dollar’s value highlights ongoing currency adjustments within the interbank market.

Market observers continue to monitor the currency’s performance as external factors, including global economic conditions, influence the rupee’s movement against the dollar.
