Rupee up against dollar in interbank trading

The Pakistani rupee saw a slight gain against the US dollar on Monday, appreciating by three paise to close at Rs277.97 in interbank trading, compared to the previous closing rate of Rs278.00.
In the open market, the dollar’s buying and selling rates stood at Rs277.50 and Rs279.00, respectively, as reported by the Forex Association of Pakistan.

The rupee showed a mixed trend against other major currencies:
- Euro: Decreased by 54 paise, closing at Rs293.66 compared to the previous day’s Rs294.20.
- British Pound: Dropped by one paisa, trading at Rs354.82 from Rs354.83.
- Japanese Yen: Remained unchanged, closing at Rs1.84.
- Emirates Dirham: Held steady at Rs75.68.
- Saudi Riyal: Fell by one paisa to Rs73.99.
The modest gain against the dollar reflects a relatively stable trading day for the rupee, as it continues to navigate fluctuations in the foreign exchange market.
