Noman Habib Urges Saba Qamar To Reject Reported Anmol Pinky Biopic

Pakistani actor Noman Habib has stirred debate on social media after publicly urging actress Saba Qamar not to take part in a reported biographical drama based on the life of Anmol Pinky.

The discussion began when Noman shared a poster on Instagram claiming that Saba Qamar would portray Anmol Pinky in a project reportedly being produced by 7th Sky Entertainment for Geo Entertainment. The poster featured images of both Saba and Anmol Pinky and quickly attracted attention online.

While expressing admiration for Saba Qamar’s acting abilities, Noman voiced his concerns about the reported project and appealed to the actress to reconsider.

“Saba Qamar, I’m a big fan of yours. I heard reports that, if true, you are doing a biopic on Anmol Pinky. Please don’t do it,” he wrote.

The actor argued that television networks and production houses should prioritize stories about individuals who have made significant positive contributions to society rather than focusing on controversial public figures.

According to Noman, media organizations should invest in projects highlighting national heroes, role models and inspirational personalities whose stories can positively influence audiences.

Drawing comparisons with late social media personality Qandeel Baloch, he suggested that repeated attention on controversial figures can sometimes reshape public perception and unintentionally elevate their status.

“Channels should make projects about our real heroes rather than people like Anmol Pinky or Qandeel Baloch,” he stated.

Noman further expressed concern that dramatized portrayals could be interpreted by some viewers as glorifying the lives of controversial personalities, even if that may not be the creators’ intention.

Despite his criticism, the actor maintained a respectful tone and clarified that he was simply sharing his personal opinion.

“Please, Saba Jee, don’t mind. These are just my personal feelings. I sincerely request that you do not do this project,” he added.

His remarks quickly sparked mixed reactions across social media. Some users supported his viewpoint, agreeing that television dramas should focus more on inspiring figures and national heroes. Others argued that biographical projects can explore complex and controversial lives without necessarily celebrating them, and that such stories can serve as a reflection of society and its challenges.

Neither Saba Qamar nor the reported producers of the project have publicly commented on Noman Habib’s request. The reported biopic remains unconfirmed, but the debate surrounding it continues to generate discussion online.
