KP increases government employees’ conveyance allowance by 50%

• Conveyance allowance increased by 50% from July 1, 2026.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a 50% increase in conveyance allowance for provincial government employees, with the revised rates taking effect from July 1, 2026.

According to a notification issued by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Department, the enhanced conveyance allowance will be applicable to government employees from Grade 1 to Grade 20 and above.

Under the revised rates, employees in Grades 1 to 4 will now receive a monthly conveyance allowance of Rs2,677, up from Rs1,785.

Employees in Grades 5 to 10 will receive Rs2,898 per month, while those in Grades 11 to 15 will be entitled to a monthly allowance of Rs4,284.

For officers in Grades 16 to 20 and above, the conveyance allowance has been increased to Rs7,500 per month.

The revised allowance will be effective from July 1, 2026, and is aimed at providing additional financial relief to government employees amid rising transportation costs.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Cabinet has also approved an increase in conveyance allowance for provincial government employees, with the revised travel allowance covering employees from Grade 1 to Grade 16.
