Karachi Court Sends Anmol Pinky Drug and Illegal Weapons Cases to Trial Court

A judicial magistrate in Karachi has transferred two criminal cases against social media personality Anmol Pinky and her co-accused to a sessions court for trial after expressing dissatisfaction over delays in the police investigation.
During the hearing, the investigating officer requested additional time to submit the final challan, stating that the investigation had not yet been completed.

The court, however, expressed displeasure over the delay and ruled that the interim challan would be treated as the final challan for the purpose of proceeding with the case. The magistrate then ordered that both cases be sent to the sessions court for trial.
The court also directed the investigating officer to continue the investigation under the supervision of the sessions court and submit the final challan there once the investigation is completed.
The cases were registered at Karachi’s Garden Police Station. One case relates to the alleged recovery of narcotics, while the second concerns the alleged possession of illegal weapons.
According to the prosecution, Anmol Pinky has been arrested along with co-accused Sohail, Zeeshan, rider Sameer and Aqib, who are also facing proceedings in connection with the cases.
The sessions court will now conduct further trial proceedings while the investigation continues.
