Karachi Authorities Blacklist 40,000 Vehicles, Enforcement Drive Starts July 1st

• Around 40,000 vehicles have been placed on a blacklist under Karachi’s e-ticketing system.
• Vehicles with unpaid fines, incomplete records, or pending ownership transfers are among those affected.
• Authorities have warned that strict action will begin from July 1.

Karachi authorities have announced a major enforcement campaign after placing nearly 40,000 vehicles on a blacklist as part of the city’s faceless e-ticketing initiative. The operation, led jointly by the Traffic Police and the Excise Department, is scheduled to begin on July 1.

Officials said the blacklist includes vehicles whose ownership details have not been formally transferred, those with incomplete registration information, and vehicles linked to incorrect addresses. Cars with outstanding e-challan fines or other unpaid government charges have also been included in the list.

Authorities have cautioned vehicle owners that once the deadline passes, blacklisted vehicles could be impounded and their owners may face legal consequences as well as financial penalties.

To help motorists verify their status, Sindh Police has made the blacklist available through the TRAX Portal. Vehicle owners can check their records by entering either their registration number or CNIC details.
