Judicial Commission to Review 10 IHC Nominees

The Judicial Commission is set to deliberate on the nomination of 10 candidates for judicial appointments in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) during its meeting scheduled for December 21.

Among the nominees, two were proposed by IHC Chief Justice, including District and Sessions Judges Azam Khan and Shahrukh Arjumand. Additional nominations come from a variety of sources, reflecting a diverse panel of candidates.

Advocate Kashif Ali Malik was recommended by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, while Advocate Syed Qamar Hussain Shah Sabzwari was proposed by Islamabad Bar Council representative Zulfiqar Ali. Senior judge Justice Mansoor Ali Shah put forward Advocate Sultan Mazhar Sher Khan as a candidate.

Senator Farooq H. Naek has recommended four nominees: Qamar Hussain Sabzwari, Umar Aslam Khan, Daniyal Ijaz, and Kashif Ali. Additionally, Roshan Khurshid Barocha has suggested the name of Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar for consideration.
