Australia Thrash Pakistan by 113 Runs in Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

Australia secured a dominant 113-run victory over Pakistan in the 21st match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, strengthening their position in the tournament with an impressive all-round performance.

After being asked to bat, Australia recovered from an early setback to post 199 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Ellyse Perry led the charge with a brilliant 71-run innings and shared a crucial 100-run partnership for the second wicket with Georgia Voll. Annabelle Sutherland contributed 27 runs, while Nicola Carey remained unbeaten on 26 to guide Australia to a formidable total.

Pakistan made an ideal start with the ball when Sadia Iqbal dismissed Beth Mooney off the very first delivery of the innings. Gul Feroza also impressed in the field with a superb diving catch at slip. Nashra Sindhu, Rameen Shamim and Sadia Iqbal claimed two wickets each, while captain Fatima Sana removed the well-set Perry. The wicket took Fatima’s tally in the tournament to eight, placing her joint second among the leading wicket-takers.

Chasing 200 for victory, Pakistan struggled against Australia’s disciplined bowling attack and were dismissed for 86 in 13.4 overs. Opener Muniba Ali Siddiqui top-scored with 32 runs off 25 balls, including four boundaries and a six. Fatima Sana added 17 runs, while Iram Javed chipped in with 14.

Australia’s bowlers maintained control throughout the chase, with Sophie Molineux, Ellyse Perry and Annabelle Sutherland taking two wickets each. Perry’s all-round performance earned her the Player of the Match award.

Pakistan Women will conclude their group-stage campaign against the Netherlands in Bristol on June 27.
