Riyal to PKR Today: Riyal Strengthens to Rs 76.08 on July 18, 2025

On July 18, 2025, the Saudi Riyal (SAR) appreciated against the Pakistani Rupee (PKR). The interbank rate stood at approximately Rs 76.08, while the open‑market rate reached around Rs 77.50, reflecting sustained strength in the currency.

The Riyal’s firm position is largely driven by seasonal demand ahead of Hajj and Umrah, which is boosting remittance flows from Saudi Arabia. Combined with relatively stable USD‑PKR dynamics and increased foreign exchange inflows, these factors have contributed to the Riyal’s upward momentum.

Currency analysts indicate that the Riyal may continue its upward trajectory in the near term. They predict a possible range of Rs 76.20 to Rs 76.50 by the end of July, stating that “seasonal demand and remittance activity are key drivers for SAR‑PKR exchange rate in the current period.” Observers also note that any intervention by the State Bank or a surge in remittances could moderate further gains.

Importers and businesses engaged in trade with Saudi Arabia may face slightly higher conversion costs, while families receiving remittances can benefit from increased value per Riyal. Unless global or domestic financial conditions change suddenly, the Riyal is likely to maintain its strength through the peak pilgrimage season, stabilising within a narrow range.
