Pakistan Will Continue to Serve as Regional Stabilizer, Says DG ISPR

Pakistan remains committed to acting as a “net regional stabilizer” and will continue to prioritize peace over conflict, affirmed Director-General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt-General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, during an interactive session with students of the Saylani IT Programme in Karachi.
Addressing a gathering of young professionals and students, the DG ISPR highlighted the symbolic success of the Bunyan-um-Marsoos operation, calling it a testament to Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability. “The triumph of peace is our greatest victory,” he said, reinforcing the military’s strategic posture as one rooted in restraint and responsibility.

He emphasized that the Pakistan Armed Forces operate with professionalism and discipline, strictly within the boundaries of the Constitution and under state directives. “We serve the state, not politics. Our commitment is to the people of Pakistan and to peace in the region,” he added.
Lt-General Ahmed Sharif also acknowledged the critical role of youth in today’s information environment. “You are the frontline in the information war,” he told the students, urging them to actively counter misinformation and strengthen national narratives with facts and integrity.
Students, in turn, expressed strong patriotic sentiment and voiced their support for the armed forces. “The Pakistan Army is our identity, and we — the people — are its true strength. We are ready to make any sacrifice for our homeland,” one participant said.
The session provided students an opportunity to engage directly with the military’s top media spokesperson, covering topics ranging from national security to cyber threats and regional diplomacy. Attendees praised the open dialogue and requested more such engagements to foster understanding between the military and the nation’s youth.
The DG ISPR concluded by encouraging students to remain informed, united, and committed to Pakistan’s progress, stressing that the future of national resilience lies in empowered and patriotic youth.
