Pakistan Weather Update: Cold, Dry Conditions to Persist as Dense Fog Grips Plains

Cold and dry weather is expected to prevail across most parts of Pakistan tonight and over the next 24 hours, with extremely cold conditions continuing in the hilly regions, according to the latest weather forecast. Parts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining areas are likely to remain partly cloudy, with chances of light rain or light snowfall at isolated locations, while dense fog is expected to affect large parts of the plains.

Forecasters say moderate to heavy fog is likely to develop during night and early morning hours in the plains of Punjab, upper Sindh and several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reducing visibility and potentially disrupting road and air traffic.

Moderate to heavy fog is expected in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Dera Ismail Khan and nearby areas during the morning and night.

Fog is also expected at a few locations in the Potohar region during morning hours.
