Iran Confirms Retaliatory Strike on Israeli Military Intelligence Sites

In a significant escalation of regional tensions, Iran has officially confirmed it carried out a precision military strike targeting key Israeli military and intelligence installations. The action, described as a retaliatory response, was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi in a statement posted on social media earlier today.

According to Araghchi, Iranian forces struck an Israeli Command, Control & Intelligence Headquarters along with a secondary military site. While the primary targets were military in nature, the blast reportedly caused superficial damage to a nearby facility — the Soroka Military Hospital — which Iranian officials claim was largely evacuated at the time.

“The blast wave caused minor damage to a small section of the Soroka Military Hospital, a facility mainly used to treat Israeli soldiers involved in operations in Gaza,” Araghchi stated, asserting that Israel’s actions in Gaza had resulted in the destruction or damage of 94% of Palestinian hospitals.
The foreign minister accused Israel of launching an “illegal war” against Iran last week and dismissed allegations that Iran is targeting civilian infrastructure. “It is the Israeli regime, not Iran, that initiated this bloodshed,” Araghchi said, adding that Iranian casualties have mounted in recent days due to what he called unprovoked Israeli aggression.
He further warned Israeli citizens to heed evacuation advisories and avoid proximity to military and intelligence sites, hinting at the possibility of continued strikes if hostilities persist. “Our Armed Forces will continue to strike the criminal aggressors who target our people, until they cease their attacks and are held accountable,” he said.
Araghchi also accused the Israeli government of war crimes, particularly in Gaza, where he claimed the destruction of medical infrastructure amounts to a broader campaign of genocide.
