Gold Prices Hit Record Highs in Pakistan, Cross Rs350,000 per Tola Amid Global Surge

Gold prices in Pakistan surged once again on Monday, crossing key psychological thresholds and reaching historic highs amid an uptick in global bullion markets. The domestic market witnessed the per tola price of 24-karat gold climbing to Rs350,200, while the rate for 10 grams rose to Rs300,240.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa and Jewellers Association, the price of gold increased by Rs800 per tola and Rs686 per 10 grams in a single session. The sharp rise has further intensified financial pressure on local consumers, especially those preparing for wedding season or holding gold for savings.

In the international market, gold also experienced upward momentum, gaining $8 per ounce to reach $3,282. Analysts attribute the global rise to continued economic uncertainties, a weaker dollar, and investor appetite for safe-haven assets amid fluctuating geopolitical and financial conditions.
Despite the surge in gold, silver prices remained steady. In Pakistan, 10 grams of silver are currently priced at Rs3,782, while international rates hover around $35.98 per ounce.
