MPA Saqib Chadhar Submits Statement In Momina Iqbal Harassment Case

• PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar has denied all allegations made by actress Momina Iqbal.
• He claimed their relationship ended in August 2025 and termed the complaint false.
• A Lahore court has granted interim bail to Chadhar and his wife, Samira, in the NCCIA case.

PML-N MPA Saqib Chadhar has submitted his statement to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in connection with the case involving alleged harassment and death threats against actress Momina Iqbal, rejecting all accusations and describing them as baseless.

In his statement, Chadhar said he first met Momina Iqbal in 2020 and that they later developed a close relationship. He claimed that they travelled together on several local and international trips and that he personally covered all related expenses.

The MPA further alleged that Momina Iqbal and her family did not disclose information regarding her previous marriage and divorce. According to him, he decided against marrying the actress after learning about those details.

Chadhar stated that he ended his relationship with Momina Iqbal in August 2025. He also alleged that Momina’s sister, Rimsha Iqbal, received 10,000 Australian dollars through blackmail and claimed he paid an additional 13,000 Australian dollars for her university fees. He further maintained that a total of Rs8.3 million had been transferred to Momina Iqbal at different times.

In his submission, Chadhar alleged that numerous photos and videos were stored on Momina Iqbal’s mobile phone and claimed that certain individuals had threatened to make the material public. He said he had requested both Momina and her sister not to share the content and asserted that the actress was fully aware that he was already married. He also claimed that call data records existed to support his position.

The lawmaker further argued that the complaint filed with the NCCIA and police contained contradictions and false information. He also alleged that Momina Iqbal’s husband, Hamza, had issued death threats against him and said a related case had already been registered in Chiniot.

Meanwhile, a Sessions Court in Lahore granted interim bail to Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Samira, in the NCCIA case. Additional Sessions Judge Irfan Ahmed Sheikh directed both applicants to cooperate with investigators and submit surety bonds worth Rs50,000 each.

The court also instructed them to appear on every hearing date until a final decision is made on their bail petitions.

The NCCIA had earlier registered a case against Saqib Chadhar and his wife, Samira, in connection with the matter.
