Hina Parvez Butt Criticizes ‘Pinky’ Drama, Questions Choice Of Role Models On TV

PML-N leader Hina Parvez Butt has voiced strong opposition to the upcoming television drama “Pinky”, arguing that controversial figures should not be presented as role models for audiences.
The project, reportedly inspired by the life of “Pinky Pir”, has already generated widespread discussion on social media. However, Hina Parvez Butt believes the drama raises important questions about the type of personalities being highlighted in the entertainment industry and the messages such portrayals send to viewers.

Taking to social media, she criticized the reported premise of the drama and expressed disappointment over the decision to bring the story to television screens.
According to Hina, creating a drama based on such a personality is unfair to women who have made meaningful and positive contributions to society. She said that celebrating controversial figures while overlooking genuine role models sends the wrong message to the public.
In her statement, she described the reported portrayal of Pinky Pir as “shameful” and said it was an insult to women who have worked for the betterment of society and continue to play constructive roles in different fields.
Hina Parvez Butt also questioned why television producers continue to focus on sensational and controversial subjects to attract ratings and commercial success. She asked how long audiences would be presented with such personalities as role models merely for viewership and financial gain.
The upcoming drama is being produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi and has already become a topic of debate even before its release.
