Dollar to PKR Rates On July 24, 2025 – US Dollar Slips Below 284 Rupees as CAD, AUD Remain Stable

In the interbank market today, the US dollar weakened slightly against the Pakistani rupee, while the Canadian and Australian dollars remained stable. The changes reflect minor adjustments in forex markets, with experts suggesting stability in the short term.

CurrencyToday’s Rate (PKR)Recent Range
USD283.70283 – 286
CAD209.30208 – 211
AUD186.25185 – 188

The US dollar traded at approximately 283.70 rupees, marking a slight decline from the previous session’s close. Over the past week, the USD/PKR pair fluctuated between a high of 284.9 and a low of 284.7. Analysts attribute this cooling trend to interventions aimed at stabilising the currency, though external debt pressures and global dollar movements remain key factors to watch. They expect the dollar to stay within the 283–286 rupee band in the coming days.

The Canadian dollar remained largely unchanged, trading around 209.3 rupees. The CAD/PKR pair has stayed within the 207–209 range throughout July, supported by stable Canadian monetary policy and crude oil prices. Unless significant changes occur in oil markets or Canada’s policy stance, this stability is likely to continue.

The Australian dollar also showed little movement, holding near 186.25 rupees. Over the past month, AUD/PKR has fluctuated between 184.8 and 188.3 rupees. Economists link this steadiness to Australia’s improved trade outlook and higher commodity prices, with projections suggesting the AUD will remain in the 185–188 range in the short term.
